Pause, Reflect and Restore "Rebuild nature's capital"

The last ethic is Earthcare, this probably speaks for itself; the stewardship of our planet.

This time of enforced isolation has seen pollution levels drop as factories are closed and people hang up their car keys. The earth is being given a break from the full impact of humans as we go about our day to day lives regardless of the long term cost. It is the nature of our planet to maintain equilibrium so if we can just give it the space and time it will be able to resore balance and begin to recover. There are lessons to be learned from this break in normal services; what are we able to enjoy or appreciate that we overlooked before, bird song, a walk, fresh food? We can reflect on how we have been living and our real priorities and we can begin to make changes that are more mindful of our world. In the book "Retrosuburbia", David Holmgren's vision for a regenerative future he named many of the things that we are currently being compelled to do such as advocates a "home-based lifestyle" home education, working from home, multipurpose trips, using local resources, creating a strong community and growing our own food.

A little more thought on what we are learning from this could actually help to make a healthier more resilient future for our planet and for us all.
