People care is another of the ethics on which Permaculture is founded. It reminds us to look after others as well as taking responsiblity for ourselves.

If there is one thing that this crisis has done it is surely to prompt us reassess our priorities. The most important jobs aren't those that make the most money. The most valued jobs have been shown to be the "key worker" roles; the ones that care for other people.

What is really vital is looking after each other. The important roles are the ones that ensure we have our needs met and we are looked after. It is a really important part of peoplecare to recognise and value the contribution that others make which is why it was so touching that so many people came to their door steps to show their collective appreciation. Kind words or gestures are priceless.
